ParrotQuest

I recently had the opportunity to visit El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico.

I went there hoping to see the endangerd Puerto Rican Amazon Parrot. Although I didn’t see a Puerto Rican Amazon, I saw incredible fauna and curious birds and reptiles.  While in Puerto Rico, I had the opportunity to participate in the HANDS ACROSS THE SAND movement in San Juan. This movement is not about politics; it is about protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife, and fishing industry. More important than ever since the oil spill.

Sadly, before we know it, in addition to parrots, there is a huge probability that many more oceanic creatures will be added to the CITIES endangered and/or extinct species list. It doesn’t matter how large your brain is or if you can build oil rig towers that pump oil out out the sea. Every brain communicates. Thinks. Problem solves. All animals. Whether we’re talking about the almost extinct PR Amazon Parrot or any endangered creature, ever.

I would challenge everyone….

• RAISE YOUR VOICE regarding going Green for Parrots or any Green Movement, for that matter!
• Support companies that champion clean energy
• Live a Green lifestyle and Reduce your carbon footprint
